YOSHIDA SCRATCHES IN RAINY PASS

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - (March 10, 2009)
IDITAROD XXXVII MUSHER Nancy Yoshida, (Bib #03) scratched at 10:02 pm (March 10, 2009) at the Rainy Pass Checkpoint on Puntilla Lake. The 58 year old musher from Thompson, North Dakota scratched after breaking a runner in a crash and losing one of her sled dogs prior to finally making her way into the checkpoint. Iditarod Race Officials will continue their search for the missing sled dog in the morning at first light.
