Biography

Tollef Monson, 28, is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He began mushing in 2000 and currently lives in Kotzebue and trains with John Baker. Monson has run the Iditarod three times and his highest place finish was 10th in 2007. A salmon set net fisherman, he spends his summers fishing in Kodiak, Alaska, which he has been doing since 2001. He says his hobbies are reading and travel.
