Hank DeBruin, 47, was born and raised in Ontario. He started running a team recreationally 13 years ago. "As our love of the sport grew, we moved to the remote wilderness area of Haliburton, Ontario, and began our touring business, Winterdance Dogsled Tours, with Siberian Huskies. Running Iditarod has been our goal for years, and as our touring kennel has grown, we have been able to field our race team. Mushing is a family sport and our children all run teams too." Hank, also a millwright, is married to Tanya McCready and they have four children: Logan, 9, Dustyn, 7, Michaela, 3, and Jessica, 1.
