Iditarod Landscape and Jon Van Zyle

Congratulations to the artists at Gastineau Community School and Auke Bay Elementary! Thanks for sharing your artwork with classrooms around the world. These students, teachers, and Iditarod’s Education Department challenges other classrooms to complete this lesson and send art work for inclusion in this online art show entitled:  Iditarod Landscapes and Jon Van Zyle

Landscapes of the Iditarod:  After viewing Iditarod photos and landscapes by Alaskan painters, students paint the background, middle ground, and foreground of an Alaskan landscape, demonstrating a change in value to help build a sense of depth, perspective.
