Opening the Door to Educational Opportunities
Students in all 50 states, in many countries and on most continents follow the race and complete content driven, standards aligned educational projects and lessons. Thousands and thousands of classrooms are filled with students who are involved in teacher created activities.
We are challenging educators around the world to share the lessons they've done by sending us updates now and throughout the next few months. We want to hear from you!
Tell us about your projects. Send us digitals images of your students or their work. Explain to us how the projects have helped your students become academically successful.
We'll share your comments on the website to help other teachers begin to plan next year's curriculum connections.
To get us started in the sharing, meet Wendy Stapleton from Springboro, OH. Each day, her students walked right into 'Iditarod Headquarters' thanks to the door decoration created by the art teacher at her school. Imagine the excitement of the students as they worked on their curriculum and followed the race, feeling they were a part of the action, as close to the race as they could be from their classroom in Ohio, their own Iditarod HQ Central!
Thanks for sharing the picture, Wendy!
We look forward to hearing from you! Let us know where you are from and tell us of your success.
