Kristy Berington is hardcore. She’s run 85 miles in 24 hours and believes she now has a better appreciation for what her dogs do on the Iditarod Trail. We meet her leaders during a stop at her kennel in late October.
Just after noon on Friday Jodi Bailey and her team of 14 dogs pulled into the Huslia checkpoint. She broke down her run into the checkpoint and not long after serenaded a couple of her dogs.
