Hi Boys and Girls,

Joar Leifseth Ulsom runs across the finish line in Nome, Alaska early on Wednesday morning March 14th as he wins the 46th running of the 2018 Iditarod Sled Dog Race. He finished in 9 days 12 hours 00 minutes and 00 seconds

We have a winner. Joar Leifseth Ulsom crossed the finish line this morning at 3:00 am AST.  I was so excited I woke everyone up with my howling.  Congratulations Joar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are still 58 teams out on the trail.  They are working hard to make their way to Nome.  Stay posted to see where they are and when they finish.

Steve Watkins out of Grayling

The Rookie of the Year position is:

Jessie Holmes is in 8th place and is in White Mountain

Scratched:

Allen Moore scratched in Kaltag due to personal health issues.

Wade Marrs scratched in Koyuk In the best interest of himself and his race team.

Tom Schonberger scratched between Grayling and Eagle River checkpoints in the best interest of his team.

Nome is going to be a busy place over the next couple of days.  Who do you think will come in next?  How is your musher doing?  Stay tuned!
