The Iditarod Mushers Drawing Banquet is the annual banquet fundraiser and drawing for the official start order. The banquet celebrates the mushers who are about to take part in the “Last Great Race on Earth®” – the nearly 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
The annual banquet will take place on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m., at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in downtown Anchorage. Attendees can help raise funds for the Iditarod via a robust live and silent auction while enjoying a meal and watching the mushers take the stage to draw for their official start order. All proceeds raised at this fundraiser go towards the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
The Iditarod Trail Committee is also hosting a Musher Meet and Greet for fans to get an autograph and spend one-on-one time with the mushers before they head out on the trail. The Musher Meet and Greet will be guests’ only chance to get autographs and interact with the mushers before the fundraising banquet begins. The Meet and Greet will feature light appetizers and a no-host bar. The Meet and Greet will take place prior to the banquet at 4 p.m. at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center.
***There will be no autograph opportunities at the Musher Drawing Banquet. For musher autographs and photos, guest must attend the Meet and Greet event which takes place prior to the banquet at 4 p.m.
***Tickets to the Meet and Greet are sold separately for those not wanting to attend the dinner banquet and are available at the door. However, all Mushers Banquet tickets come with complimentary admission to the Musher Meet and Greet but must be purchased online in advance. Child tickets to the banquet are the same price as adults.
