The current red lantern, Alison Lifka, is due to leave Takotna at 10:50 this morning. It’s been a busy morning, with Michael Baker pulling out while Jeremy Keller came up behind him. After Jeremy parked for a bit Victoria Hardwick pulled in and left after going through her drop bags and,as soon as she left, Cindy Abbott pulled through as well. Cindy Gallea left from her 24 hour rest shortly after that, her dogs happy and tails wagging as they left. The snow is starting to come down again, will make a slow trail for the mushers heading to Ophir and Iditarod from here!
