Biography
Tove Sørensen, 47, has been mushing for 20 years and considered herself a professional musher the last ten years. She has raced the Finnmarksløpet eleven times and says she “feels ready for the Iditarod,” which she has dreamed of running since she first read about it. She is related to Leonhard Seppala and wants to “try and follow in his footsteps.” She and her husband, Tore, own and operate an activity center in Tromsø, where they do dog mushing in the winter and kayaking and glacier hiking in the summer. She has two children, Alexander, 19, and Torkil, 15. She says her hobbies are dog mushing and being out in nature.
