Sled Dog Ed

Dear Teachers,

Time for treats! I hear that around the dog lot frequently…especially after the dogs have been out on a long run.  Indulge your students in some sweet treats for a fun break during the day!  Here is a way for students to talk with their classmates about the Iditarod, share information they have learned, and have some fun!  It is “The M & M® Game”!

Divide your students into small discussion groups and give each student a small bag of M & M’s. As students pull an M & M from the bag, have them match its color to the prompt listed on the  M & M® Game document.  You can create your own questions and/or topics for discussion for each color or use what I have given you as a start.
