Hello from Race Headquarters at the Millennium Hotel in Anchorage.
Do you ever wonder what volunteers eat while they are working their shifts and helping with the race?
Each morning, a big pot of soup arrives from Gwennie’s, a restaurant just down the street from the Millennium. The soup of the day is what’s for lunch for the volunteers!
Sometimes it’s bean, sometimes it’s sea food chowder, and sometimes, it’s vegetable! No matter what the soup of the day is, it’s delicious! I’d spin and spin and spin if I were a volunteer, just to get a delicious bowl of soup!
