Libby here!
Hello Boys and Girls!
It’s straw time! Well, sort of!
Every year, volunteers get together in February to pack and sort bales of straw. Each bag of straw is marked with the name of a checkpoint on it.
The straw is then loaded up and taken to airplanes.
Pilots fly the bags of straw to the checkpoints.
The straw is used in the checkpoints to make a comfortable bed for the dogs to sleep on. I’m going to tell you, I’m a little house dog, and I sure do like my little doggie bed…. But if I was a racing sled dog, I’d love this straw bed SO SO SO much!
Just spinning some ‘de-tails’
