Hi Boys and Girls
Have you been watching the race. Mitch and Aily left White Mountain on their way to Nome only 13 minutes apart. The next 3 mushers will be leaving soon. By the time we wake up in the morning we could have a winner! Who do you think it will be? This is so exciting!!!
There were so many great pics by Jeff Schultz to pick from today. Today’s photo is of Josh Cadzow running on the Bering Sea at sunrise. Isn’t it a beautiful picture.

Answer to this mornings Question: White Mountain is only 77 miles from Nome so why would you want to rest the teams there. The teams have just come off the Bearing Sea which can be a very rough part of the trail. Since they are so close to the finish it would be a good time to really give that final push. So a rest in White Mountain gives the teams time to rest and get food and prepare for the last 77 mile push to Nome.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Check back in the morning to see where everyone is at. My next post will probably be of the winner 🙂 Remember when the winner is in there will still be 55+ mushers out on the trail to be followed.
Until later,
Gypsy
