Hi Boys and Girls
Hope you are having a great weekend. The weather has been warm along the trail the past couple of days. This makes the trail punchy and hard to get through. The temps seem to be cooling off now so hopefully that will help the teams. The first 6 mushers are fairly close together. While Martin has a 3 hour lead over Aily. Aily, Mitch, Jessie, and Aaron all left within an hour of each other. Stay tuned as it’s still anyone race. Most of the mushers have completed the first 8 hour mandatory rest.
Todays picture from Jeff Schultz is of Angie Taggert packing her sled as she prepares to leave the checkpoint of Iditarod.
