Bethel’s own Pete Kaiser has arrived in McGrath. Watching his team cross the river was a sight of beauty. Keeping them stopped in the checkpoint was quite difficult with the low snow and because they were screaming to go. I wish my pictures would have audio. Screaming to go

Dallas Seavey just walked into the comms room asking for a place to take a quick nap. He wanted no wakeup call: ” I got it covered “. I asked him what he is doing here ” Where else are you going with a team like this. I have 11 dogs pulling and 4 in the sled and still am riding the drag” He continued to explain how Takotna is too early to 24 and that he does not want to do anything crazy into Cripple. Cripple would be a good place take 24 hrs, ” but who knows where I might go “. He is grinning from ear to ear!
