Veteran Matt Hall from Two Rivers rested three hours in Unalakleet before heading over the Blue Berry Hills to Shaktoolik.  This is his 6th Iditarod.  He has two top ten finishes with his best being fourth place.  Hall is running in third place behind Jessie Holmes and Dallas Seavey.  Seavey is leading the two challengers by about 15 miles with 164 miles to the finish line.  Hall won the Yukon Quest in 2017.  Enjoy these photos captured by Siri while Hall was in Unalakleet.  What do you notice in each of these images.  What story does each photo tell?

The check point is located behind the Post Office on the Kouwegok Slough.  Snow is plowed into berms to act as wind breaks for the resting dogs by city crews with end loaders.
