Iditarod® Launches The Official Iditarod Mobile App

Now fans of The Last Great Race® can follow the official Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from their mobile device.  In partnership with Mobile App Sponsor Bristol Bay Native Corporation™ – Iditarod® The Official App is available for both Apple and Android mobile phones and tablets. 

Iditarod® The Official App delivers a comprehensive mix of exclusive race news, reports from the 1,049 mile Iditarod Trail, free video content and race standings.  In addition the app will feature the all new Iditarod Live broadcast channel, the live streaming broadcast of Iditarod events including the Live Ceremonial Start from Anchorage on Saturday March 1st, Live Chats and Iditarod Live programming throughout the days leading up to the race start.   It’s another great great way to experience this great race. App content and features are focused around simple sections familiar to Iditarod race fans;

Iditarod Live – Live video streaming from the Ceremonial Start in Anchorage and other Iditarod Live broadcasts including Live Chats, Interviews and more.

Race Standings – Official Iditarod Race Standings updated dynamically when official standings are reported in from the Iditarod Trail Checkpoints.

Official News – The Iditarod App News section features exclusive and Official Iditarod trail stories and updates.  Follow Iditarod Bloggers Joe Runyan, Sebastian Schnuelle, Terri Hanke and The Teacher on the Trail.  

Video – Now fans can view available Free* Iditarod Insider Video from from anywhere.  The Award Winning Iditarod Insider video team delivers images and stories from the trail only available to Iditarod Insider viewers.   

* Iditarod Insider is a paid subscription that includes Premium paid Video and GPS Tracking features. For its unpaid fans, Iditarod makes a portion of the video content available free of charge.  Iditarod® The Official App will feature only the FREE video content.
