The nice fresh blanket of snow is wide spread. It pretty much has been snowing all day here in Two Rivers. Temperatures have dropped to 15F and going down further. The Iditarod Trail breakers are going to have their work cut out. Even on our local trails here, there are quite good sizes snow drifts. I can only imagine what the Yukon River looks like and other parts of the trail which are not travelled regular. On the upside. If the trail in punched in now, and then has 24 hrs to settle, it will be a perfect trail to travel on. It is game time! Teams have assembled in Fairbanks, the Insider Crew is settled into Pikes Landing and a few local musher teams get treated to sleeping in their own bed tonight.
