Very high winds and warm temperatures created deep overflow of water on a section of the trail near Safety. As a result, Sean Underwood, Tom Knolmayer and Matthew Failor requested assistance and were rescued by helicopter.  They are currently being evaluated for precautionary measures. All sled dogs are in good condition and being transferred to Nome at this time.  We are reworking this section so that the remaining teams can proceed tomorrow.
