The elusive Brent Sass on the Yukon River

My first sign of the elusive Brent Sass was an empty nest, 10 miles outside of Ruby. He had long packed up and gone. What a nice spot he had picked. no wind and a beautiful view up and down the mighty Yukon River. Then I finally could see a speck moving on the horizon. As opposed to being on a dog team, it only took me a few minutes to catch up, instead of hours.

Brents team IS MOVING. Moving fast and of course Brent is doing his fair share of the work. The river ice is smooth, and often his dogs picked their own path about 50 yeards beside the trail. Whatever reason, they must have thought the traveling is better there.
