Jeff King arrived in Elim at 14.56. He had a fast run over from Koyuk, passing Ralph Johannessen. Jeff is always an innovator, be it the tail dragger sled, which I think he first ran back in 2006 and now is a mainstay for many musher, to cooker experiments, note the stovepipe at the back of his sled, or the way how he runs his wheel dogs, with their tug lines going straight back to the sled, for a better pulling angle. This only works with well behaved dogs who do not jump the gang line. Jeff said he is going to stay a couple of hours. My time is up here and I am headed down the trail to White Mountain.
