Joar Leifseth Ulsom and Nicolas Petit are the rising stars of Iditarod 41. Both are sitting here in Anvik and both have very nice looking teams. Nicolas is still driving 12 dogs, that is still plenty but but not much extra for “ racing hard “,  specially considering your competition has larger strings. So he better keeps those 12 “ together “ as we say.

Joar still has 14 dogs, the team is let by Britt and Joar is grinning from ear to ear. Both Mushers commented on how well packed the trail is , hard and fast. But next to the trail, it is bottom less deep and the sled often slides off the trail. 

Here are some pictures of their teams, getting their veterinary checks done. Vet Alan Taylor from Australia has been on my Iditarod´s. It´s his vacation!
