Veteran musher Dallas Seavey (bib # 7), of Talkeetna, Alaska was the  first musher to reach the White Mountain checkpoint on March 11, 2024 at 11:53 p.m. with 10 dogs in harness, earning him the Northrim Bank Achieve More Award.

Northrim Bank’s award was first given out in 2018. Seavey will receive a $2,500 check and a special trophy that resides at Iditarod headquarters year-round.

“Our award continues to inspire the mushers to push boundaries and excel, reflecting the spirit of mushing in Alaska. As a homegrown bank deeply rooted in Alaska, we understand the resilience required to conquer both the challenges of the Last Frontier and the rugged Iditarod trail. We congratulate Dallas on his accomplishment of being the first musher into White Mountain and look forward to presenting the Achieve More award at the finishers banquet in Nome,” said President Mike Huston.

The Northrim Bank Achieve More Award will be re-presented to Seavey at the finishers banquet in Nome on March 17, 2024.
