Nome, Alaska – Sunday, March 11, 2012 – Veteran Iditarod musher Lachlan Clarke (Bib# 66)  of Buena Vista, Colorado scratched in Galena at 14:25 Alaska Time.  Clarke made the decision to scratch because he was down to a small number of dogs.  He had 8 dogs on his team when he made the decision.
