Aaron Burmeister Came in 6th in McGrath and Left

Aaron’s team is clipping right along. The dogs were barking while waiting in the checkpoint. A few of these guys I ran in 2011 in my team. Govenor was running right next to Moss. Todd, Remmy and Ruger I also could remember. Dang, this is one of those moments when I am itching to hop on the runners. Especially seeing Aaron visibly in pain with his twisted knee. He is pretty much one-legged right now. He used his chance to walk up and down the gangline in the checkpoint, while somebody could hold his sled, a task more difficult on the trail, if you are alone. Aaron shows lots of grit to keep on going. But looking at his team, I can not blame him one bit. They look beautiful! Now there is a little bit of a break in the action, but teams should file into Takotna soon, and Joe Runyan is there to keep an eye on the happenings. I hope you arm chair mushers enjoy the show!IMG_3896 IMG_3899 IMG_3901 IMG_3902 IMG_3907 IMG_3909 IMG_3915 IMG_3917 IMG_3921 IMG_3925
