The Yukon River is showing its nicest side. Right when I was about to leave Galena, first Dallas Seavey then Kelly Maixner both pulled in. I did not have much of a chance to talk to them. Both teams looked great. Kelly is another of those guys driving with no necklines. As soon as he stops the dogs are all over the place. They look like a fan hitch. Personally it would drive me nuts to look at my team like that, but Kelly is one of the many people doing this system. And Kelly is one of the many people driving a nice-looking, large string. So despite the aesthetics, the advantages for the dogs are undeniable. Maybe something to try for the summer.
