Mitch Seavey found gold on the Bering Sea Coast, award by Well Fargo, a proud and loyal long time sponsor. The Gold is locally mined in Nome by Jim Hanson, It was purchased last tuesday and 1.5 ounces are worth about $ 2500. Jim Hanson mines on Anvil Creek and unnamed creek up Cougar Road. At the banquet, Mitch will be awareded a smaller version of the trophy, as well as being reunited with the gold, because carrying it in his pants pockets over the blueberry hills might not be a good idea.
