The ride down Dalzell went uneventful…. that was because we only had Martin Buser and Matt Failor ahead of us. Some of the ice bridges sure will be a challenge later on. Both teams looked great. Its quite the ride for Matt, from second to last in the Quest, to second from the front in Iditarod. Of course he is all smiles. We were going to station at the post river glacier, for some fun photo ops, but that one is tame this year. Both Martin and Matt plan to do their 24 hr layover. Lance, his brother Jason, Jessie Royer all have arrived in Rohn. The race is on. Technically, when Martin leaves in the morning, he has a huge lead of about 8 hrs. Not bad for day one! Will it hold? In a few days we know more
