Each year I only get to stop in Ophir for a short time. There is not internet there and accommodations are tight too. There is one mushers cabin with 8 bunks, and when I checked in this morning there were 9 mushers doing their 24 hr layover. 

Sigrid Ekran was talking about her team, and how she was bummed out to drop 4 dogs early: ” Now I am over it… and the rest of them are doing really well “. Scott Smith had a goodlooking team. He said that the only little issue were on some of their feet. Cim Smyth commented that some of his dogs were not eating as much as he wished. All not major issues. Ketil Reitan is down to 9 dogs. That is disappointing and he will now have to run a very careful race. I’ts a long ways to go.
