The Burn Really has NO Snow

Wel,l that was a heck of a snowmachine ride. I learned a few things about winching up my machine, flipping it back upright, but mainly I learned that snowmachines are usable in the summer also. They do just fine without snow. All kidding aside, it is pretty tough going for the first 30 miles out of Rohn. The Post River Glacier is actually not that bad, lots of gravel and rock showing, so getting up was relatively ease. But plenty of other spots pose some real challenges. There is a group of 5 Norwegians or better out there also following the race on snowmachine said Robert Sorlie. They are having an even harder time to keep the right side up on the snowmachine.

I have to admit I am somewhat beat up… so here are some pictures and then more writing after I take a nap. 12 hr ride, well, kind of ride….

I passed Martin Buser right at the end of Farewell Lakes. His team looked great.
