Musher Details

Blair Braverman, 30, was born and raised in Davis, California. She received her BA in Environmental Law from Colby College and her MFA in Nonfiction writing from the University of Iowa. As a teenager she went to Norway to learn about mushing and started mushing in 2008. She learned about the Iditarod as a kid and has been working toward running the Iditarod since she got her own dog team in 2014. For the last eight years, Blair has worked as a writer. She is married to Quince Mountain. She enjoys figure skating and wilderness adventure.
