Biography

Riley Dyche, 33, (Veteran) was born in Iowa, and later moved to Colorado to work with sled dogs, and and then to Alaska. He is married to Isabel and owns and operates Dark Horse Sled Dogs in Big Lake, home to 38 dogs. Dyche has been a consistent racer in the Yukon Quest, Kuskowim 300, Knik 100, and many others. Riley first worked for Alaska Icefield Expeditions. Riley says, “My wife, Isabel, and I have built a really nice dog team over the past several years. We are looking forward to bringing a highly competitive team to this year’s race and competing against the best mushers in the sport.”
