Musher Details

Jaye Foucher, 58, (Rookie) was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. Her kennel, Sibersong Sleddogs, operates out of Ester, Alaska with 40 dogs. Jaye has completed the John Beargrease Marathon, UP200, Can-Am Crown 250, Alpine Creek Excursion, PG Expédition Abitibi, and Defi Taiga 120. After a career as a musician, Jaye says her interest in mushing began when she “got a Siberian husky as a pet, started bikejoring with her, and it grew from there.” Jaye’s mushing hero is Lance Mackey because “he overcame so much and still kept doing what he loved.” When not mushing, Jaye works as Senior Software Engineer for EDGE Media Network. She also enjoys sewing, spinning yarn from dog fur, knitting, reading, and hiking.
