Musher Details

Sadie Lindquist, 24, (Rookie) was born and raised in Alaska. Sadie’s race list includes Knik 200, Copper basin 300, and Kobuk 440, all Iditarod qualifiers. Sadie got her start in the mushing world by working a seasonal job when she was 16, and has spent the last decade managing at Seavey’s Ididaride Dog Sled Tours which cares for 150 canine athletes. Sadie’s most important mentor is “Mitch Seavey of course, as he’s my boss and mentor at his race kennel. Mitch and my dad are long time best friends, and I have so much respect for the two of them.” Sadie’s desire to run the Iditarod is rooted in the “challenge to travel the most beautiful country with the most gifted and talented friends.” Sadie’s time off the runners is spent mountain unicycling, hiking, fishing, playing music, and eating good food. She works as General Manager at Seavey’s Ididaride Dog Sled Tours. Sadie credits boyfriend and fellow musher Calvin Daugherty and many others for their backing. “I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported me and continues to do so. Without a team of humans by my side this wouldn’t be possible.”
