If you have a paid subscription for the 2012 Iditaord Insider, you have access to the new documentary “Why Do They Run” produced by the Iditarod Insider team.
The documentary is available in two places; a streaming version that plays in a web browser, and a downloadable version that can be played on a computer or internet connected TV.
To watch “Why Do They Run” in your web browser, click here.
To download “Why Do They Run” to your computer, you will need to log in to the Iditarod site, then go to your profile. Here you will see a tab called “Premium Content”. On that page will be a link to download the video.
The video is compressed in MPEG4 H.264 format. It is a large file, over 1GB. Your internet speed will affect how long the download takes. See the chart below.
If your connection is too slow, the link will time out, and you will have to start over by logging out and repeating the steps.
We suggest the online version for those viewers with slow connections.
FOR MAC USERS:
The Control Key + clicking is the equivalent of right clicking on Windows PCs.
TO SAVE THE FILE: (MAC AND PC)
Right Clicking on the link will bring up a contextual menu. Choose “Save Linked File As” and navigate to a folder where you can save the video easily (like your desktop).
