Rookie Iditarod musher, Brenda Mackey (bib #9), of Fairbanks, Alaska, scratched at 4:35 p.m. today at the Tanana checkpoint in the best interest of her team. Mackey had 14 dogs in harness when she arrived in Tanana, all in good health.
Brenda has been a great competitor in this race and we hope to see her on the Iditarod Trail again in the future.
