Nicolas is busy chatting away down in the dog lot. His team is one big family affair. The oldest dog in the team is Diva, who is the mom of most of the rest of the dogs. There are 12 dogs either 2 or 1 year old. ” The Twoyearolds from last year are really really good”. Nicolas does not seem to come into the race with a set game plan. At least that is what he says. ” I am running by what the dogs tell me. ” 

The next team in, now looks like Dallas Seavey, as Aliy Zirkle has pulled over to camp out. Camping out before ( or after ) Rainy Pass, has the advantage of it being much more quiet. There is a lot of commotion going on here, specially with planes coming and going. There is also a lot of tourists. This is a hotspot for them to see the teams.
