The 2 day mandatory training for rookies signed up for the 2017 Iditarod has concluded. They heard from veteran mushers like Aliy Zirle and Allen Moore in Anchorage on Saturday. On Sunday the 18 rookies met at Vern Halters “Dream A Dream Kennels” in Willow and enjoyed lectures from Dallas Seavey, DeeDee Jonrowe, Wade Marrs, Karin Hendrickson and Cindy Abbott.
