Martin Buser Running an Unconventional Schedule Again

The ” new ” trackers are not quite a nice as the old Ion Earth trackers. So I am not 100% certain what I am seeing, but it looks like Martin Buser still has not stopped. I passed him at the end of Farewell Lake. The lakes were a sheet of glare ice. His team was moving at a nice clip into the sunset. Matter of fa,t after the lakes, I had a hard time simply staying ahead of Martin. Than finally, past Runkels Bison Camp, sporadic snow patches appeared and than from Sullivan Creek Bridge on the trail actually resembled a mushing trail. Here I could make some time, getting up to 25 mph. And as it looks now, Martin is right there, about Sullivan Creek Bridge. That is a bit more than 20 miles out. Somehow I doubt that he will stop now. But in any case, Martin has put in a heck of a run, through some incredible tough conditions. Other than resting about 4 hrs in Rainy Pass and a few short snack breaks here and there, he has run all the way from the START. He put another twist on his strategy of long and early. If he really pulls this off and gets here to Nikolai between 2 and 3 a.m. , that means he could also leave here at that time IF he takes his 24 hr layover here. PURELY SPECULATING…. but IF he does this, that would be quite the move.

Here a few more Martin shots:
