Under the setting sun on the Yukon River, Sonny Lindner drove his 14 dogs into the checkpoint. He immediately declared his 8 hr layover. At least that is his intention now. He does not have to stay 8 hrs now, and can leave anytime he wants.On the other hand, after skipping Galena and running all the way from Ruby, giving the dogs a good break here will keep his speed up.
