Jessie Homes wins Northrim Bank Achieve More Award

Veteran musher Jessie Holmes (bib #7), of Brushkana, Alaska,, was the first to reach the White Mountain  checkpoint  at 3:10 a.m. with  13 dogs in harness, earning  him the Northrim Bank Achieve More Award. 

Northrim Bank’s award was first given out in 2018. Holmes will receive a $2,500 check and a special trophy that resides at Iditarod headquarters year-round.  

“Our award proudly celebrates the teamwork, determination, and commitment it takes for these teams to truly ‘Achieve More’ on the Iditarod trail. As an Alaska-grown bank with deep roots in the state, we have a strong appreciation for the grit and resilience needed to face both the challenges of the Last Frontier and the demanding Iditarod Trail. We congratulate Jessie on being the first musher to reach White Mountain and look forward to honoring this achievement at the finishers banquet in Nome,” said President Mike Huston.

Their continued support helps celebrate the perseverance and spirit that define the Iditarod, and we are grateful for their ongoing partnership.  The Northrim Bank Achieve More Award will be re-presented at the finishers banquet in Nome on March 22, 2026.
