It is snowing in Shaktoolik

It is snowing in Shaktoolik so musher MIGHT be staying in Shaktoolik a bit longer until the winds slow a bit.

Volunteers have left Nome for Saftey to set up the Checkpoint

Supplies were loaded into sleds.  Volunteers and the supplies were taken by snowmachine (snowmobile) to Saftey.  The checkpoint will quickly be set up and ready for the arrival of mushers.

Nome is Getting Ready for the Finish!

Volunteers and staff are getting Nome ready for the finish.  The arch was moved to the finish line yesterday. Today the banners will be going up in the chute.
