Veteran Iditarod musher Larry Daugherty (bib #45) of Eagle River, Alaska, scratched at 12:42 a.m. today at the Kaltag checkpoint.
Daugherty made the decision to scratch in the best interest of his race team. Daugherty had 13 dogs in harness at the time he made the decision to scratch.
