The mushers are coming in quick succession. I am lucky that Tim is running back and forth to the river taking pictures while I do the writing and uploading. Then hang on a second….. that was supposed to be the other way around, that I do the fun stuff…something went wrong along the way.
Joar is currently in 8th place into Koyukuk. He is back in the Top 10. Joar has shown in past races that he can push hard. The front runners for sure have to look over their shoulder with this group of mushers hot on their heels.
With having taken the 8hr layover before, I doubt that Joar will stay anywhere longer than 5 hrs. He sometimes does pretty short rests around 4 hrs, as he is very organized and still manages to get some downtime in that short break. Now we just have to get him off that seat… he used to be working hard….
