Biography

Sue Allen, 50, was born in Binghampton, New York. A job transfer brought her to Alaska in 1986. She lives in a log home in Houston, Alaska with her husband, Rich, one special border collie and seven retired sled dogs. She teaches Physical Education at Wasilla High School. When not teaching or running dogs, she enjoys biking, running, hiking, and reading. Sue will be introducing a new group of young dogs from Happy Trails Kennel to the Trail.

"I often question why I would run this race again. It's a huge commitment of time, energy, money and comfort. The tougher question for me, the one I can't answer is… why wouldn't I?"
