Musher Details

Biography
Grayson Bruton a lifelong Alaskan, grew up in Willow watching dog teams run past his family home while out training each fall. In 2002, he caught the mushing bug after his father (a longtime Iditarod Volunteer) asked him to volunteer as a runner, helping park mushers and their teams at the Iditarod restart on Willow lake. That’s all it took to get him hooked!
The past few years he has been rebuilding his kennel and is excited to share the beauty and uniqueness only found while on the Iditarod trail with his team of powerful young k9 athletes. When he’s not training his team he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and building cabins at his family’s remote lodge in interior Alaska.
Grayson competed in the 2020 Iditarod placing 23rd, as well as a number of sprint races, the Jr. Iditarod, Willow Jr. 100, Willow 300, Copper Basin 300, Two Rivers 200 and Tustemena 200.
