Biography
Joseph Sabin, 35, (Rookie) hails from Grandville, Michigan. He now lives in Two Rivers, Alaska with his partner, Willoe Maynard. Together they operate Voyageur Outdoor Adventures, home to 31 dogs and a Jack Russell terrier named Stevie Nicks. Joey has been an animal lover for as long as he can remember. He began running dogs in 2017 while working for Sven Haltman, and over the years, he’s spent many summers giving tours on glaciers for Alaska Icefield Expeditions (AIE), and more recently, in Seward for Dallas Seavey. Sabin’s races include the Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest Alaska 300, and Yukon Quest Alaska 550. This season, he’s gearing up for a big lineup: the Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest Alaska 750, and the Iditarod.
