Biography

I was born and raised in Moose Pass, Alaska, by my amazing, hardcore family who instilled my love for animals and the outdoors. I grew up around mushing — my dad is best friends with Mitch Seavey and even ran one of his teams in the 1998 Iditarod, scratching around 800 miles. My own mushing career began at 16 cleaning kennels on a “voluntold” job from my dad. I returned every summer, eventually spending nearly a decade guiding and managing tours at Seavey’s Ididaride. In recent years, I’ve fully dedicated myself to training dogs at Mitch Seavey’s racing kennel and am honored to train and run his puppy team. I’m running Iditarod because I love these dogs, this lifestyle, my wild parents, my home state and its history. This race is how I will live that love to the fullest.
