Nome, Alaska – Wednesday, March 14, 2012 – Veteran Iditarod musher Michael Suprenant (Bib# 13) of Chugiak, Alaska scratched in Unalakleet at 08:20 Alaska Time.  Suprenant made the decision to scratch for the best interest of his team.  He had 9 dogs on his team when he made the decision.
